Hello there! my name is Emma. I am currently a student at Alverno College. I am taking a microbiology course and researching about the elimination of disease. Some thing we have learned in class is how drugs affect different types of cell walls (gram negative , gram positive, and my colic acid) also we have learned how disease spread and can cause harm. We have also learned about the history of microbiology and how microbes can help and harm our body. I am specifically looking at how parasites effect the body. As we know parasites are what live in the body and cause harm to the host but benefit the bug. So i started to look into parasites. I found a interesting one called Onchocerciasis. Which is probably one of the coolest and interesting parasitic diseases our there.
